Post mortem composite

In cases of deceased and unidentified individuals, post mortem photographs can be computer enhanced and sanitised for public viewing. For example, post mortem bruising and swelling can be removed to show what the individual may have looked like. Hairstyles and clothing can also be restored. The image can then be used in publicity to try to gain more information.
